This engine will be a gift. Bill , I saw those needle valves and wondered if that were possible then wondered how many I w...

Re: Report: Holding thin work with double-sided sticky tape

Richard--

Valve help for a dummy

All-- I need a stationary valve for a model steam (compressed air) engine. (The engine runs on <=5psi.) It needs to be bolted to the 4"x5" base plate of the engine. What am I actually looking for? I called it a stationary valve because I do not know what else to call a valve that is bolted...

Report: Holding thin work with double-sided sticky tape

All-- I experimented with a fly cutter using some double-sided sticky tape to hold a piece of scrap aluminum on the mill table. It worked very well. I followed Harold's suggestions of degreasing the surfaces and taping down the workpiece. The workpiece and tape were also easy to remove with only a t...

Harold--

Here's my plan for the age-thing. At 108 I am going to sit back and think about what I am going to do with my life.

I received mine today, as well. It is 2" wide and I have also not tried it.

Re: Help holding thin material for fly cutting

Harold--

I've got a 36 yard roll coming in from Amazon. I read some of the reviews. Woodworkers rave about its ability to hold down workpieces.

I'll (eventually) report back.

Thanks, again.
