Railroad Warehouse has castings for andrews trucks, they are the tender trucks for the Heavy Mikado, the castings are very good quality.

It sounds like you have a good relationship with the state boiler folks, have you talked with them about possible solutions or even ask what it would take to get a waiver or even exemption for all model boilers ? I think I would put that good relationship to work,

I have built an Allen Mogul and American and never had to use anything bigger than a small handheld torch like you can buy at any hardware store and use mapp gas with it, I would still like to have a bigger torch but the small one works fine.
