Re: Ejector problem
Adjust the orifice back or forward across the suction hole. If it works on air OK, it would require a positioning adjustment to get it to work on steam.

Re: Need a Foundry
Artworks, in Berkeley, CA has a good reputation. I've used them for number plates until I got my own capability. They have a website: https://www.artworksfoundry.com/ Did you try http://frostadatelier.com/ in Sacramento?

Re: O S Closing Locomotive Division
I remember Mr. Ogawa visiting GGLS back in the mid-1980s upon the occasion of the marriage of his daughter to a GGLS member. Sorry to see them close, but even then, the main source of income for the company was model airplane engines. His interest in locomotives was a sort of side hobby. In view of ...

Re: Glass tube for water glass
Yes, it will work fine. It is a bit thick. I'd go for a 1mm wall thickness. You only have a 3mm water column.

Re: Water Gauge Problem
New boilers frequently have foaming problems. I would say to wash out the boiler and try again. I would add some TSP to the boiler while filling and let it sit for a day or so, then flush it out with running water for a couple hours. Of course, it could be some other problem but try the simple thing...

Re: Model Steam Pressure Gauges
See Model Engineer 20 May 1988, page 602. Roy Amsbury describes how he made duplex vacuum gauges. And the one shown is something like 5/8" OD or 3/4" over the case. I'd like to have one about 1 1/4" OD for air pressure. I have the plans (sort of) for a 6" duplex vacuum gauge that...

Re: Power Model Supply 11” pump drawings wanted
I have the 8 drawings for the 3" steam air/water pump. There is a sheet 5W that has the water end drawings. I have no idea what prototype this is for. The prints are too big to scan but I can take an iPhone photo for you if you like. If you are looking for the single cylinder pump then I can't ...

Re: Mystery bronze
Might be manganese bronze which is about 20% manganese and 20% zinc, 56% copper and a little of this and that. If so, I'd guess the pouring temperature to be about 1600 F. So you could try reducing the temperature if you are melting at a higher temp. Machinability about 80. Not too good.

Looks to me like the one that appeared in Live Steam mag years ago. I made one that looks just like yours from the plans in LS. Value...whatever you can get for it.

Re: Steam Locomotive model drawings
Steve Vitkovits designed and had castings made for a light 2-8-2. Dick Thomas was also involved. The design was sold to Railroad Warehouse. Dick Thomas had a full size erection drawing of the Baldwin 2-8-2 90 ton Mikado. Steve saw the drawing and said to Dick: "Lets build a locomotive." S...
