I would think anybody that mandates a loading method would be assuming liability both personally and for the organization should something go wrong.

I am interested in a gauge in the 250# range if you decide to make them.

Hey Russ, I agree that a 2-4-4-2 would be great in 1/8 scale. I was thinking the running gear 2 Allen Chloe could be used for a freelanced "kit bash".

I am installing an American Model Engineering Supply water gauge on the boiler of a very small 1.5" scale 0-4-0. The bottom of the gauge assembly has a threaded valve assembly at a right angle to the gauge glass. My question is this....can the gauge assembly be threaded directly into the boiler...

Does anybody know what the railroads used to control/treat dissolved oxygen in the make up water on full size locomotives back in the days of steam?
