Vernier sights

Post by Anselme »

Any of you shooter/gun nut/machinists have a source for plans for a tang or vernier sight? Think this could be a fun and rewarding project for those of us whose hobbies overlap several areas.

Frank DeHaas had a couple of plans in his book "Mr. Singleshot's Idea Book".

There is an exploded diagram for a set of old vernier Parker Hale sights to be found at www.normanclarkgunsmith.com. Look under Parker Hale, M84 MK11 target rifle. If you dig around in the site there is also a list of parts including some of the sizes. Hope this helps.

The link doesn't work for me. Is there another way to find this info?
