Welding Positioner

Need to build up a shaft with weld.

Ingenious, just don't that with a good chuck! I see you have the ground as close to the work as possible.

Yep, no possibility of welding spindle bearings.
Made a 98 tooth gear to give me the speed reduction, goes down to just under 1 rpm.
The mill power feed was removed from my mill and I upgraded to an Align to give me higher rapid speed.
Going to make a slotted faceplate that will grip in the 3 jaw chuck to give me more versatility.

Tested at 140 amps, no interruption to current, slip ring holds up, very happy.
