Dave,you didn't lose transformer machines are bullet proof.I still like them,but really not in the same league in welding aluminum.That said it still is the guy using it that matters most.

Scott,

By saying that I lost " a long, rambling post " I mean that I typed a short history of what I have in the way of TIG and Plasma welding ( not cutting ) equipment, both ready to run and just setting in the corner.

I am not sure how it occured, but I think I hit the enter key at the wrong time and it was gone. I was practically cross-eyed from looking at the screen so I didn't want to start over. I figured that it was digressing from the topic so that prompted my ' just as well' comment.
