Hi Guys, Well It sure is COLD here on the Shores of Lake Erie!!!!!! So that makes it perfect time to sneak out to shop for some tinkering.

Here's a SNEAK PEEK in process shot of my new handheld ehweel/fender roller. It's still got a ways to go but I needed a coffee break. And while I do have a full sized Ehweel this is (I hope) gonna come in handy when you rather bring the 'wheel to the part instead of the other way around!

Jacin, is the adjuster one of those square holed bushings, or did you machine it? Did you get my note about Jergens?

Jacin,
how did you bend you pipe or tube?
I like the idea of that small unit.

Hi Scott, It is tube (4130 to be exact) leftover from the dragster!!! Waste not want not <grin>

For what I want to use it for I think it will be ok - but if I was gonna want to do any serious formign with it - I think I'd make the frame a tad stiffer (add a back brace) which I may do anyway.

I bent it on my Hossfeld knockoff bender (Chuck Smith Motorsport Tools - no affiliation - just a happy customer)

I wanted to try it out today, but forgot I promised the little one I would take her SHOPPING at the Dollar Store - man was it fun to see her strut around that place!!!!!!

I machined it!!!!

So just for the record, how did you machine the square hole. You don't have a shaper or a BP vertical shaper attachment, and I know you hate broaches., so I know this is going to be inventive.

Hi Ralph, Shssh don't tell anyone - I invented a square endmill ! !

Ok ok seriously - first off just for the record - I don't hate broaches - I love them - I just didnt have (wasn't able to borrow) one this size

I did have some endmills though so I milled a axial slot about 3/4 of the length - to size for width and depth - I then clamped the square stock in the groove and welded a plug in. Chuck it back up in the lathe and trued up the OD. Piece of cake - sure woulda saved me a bunch of time if we would have talked sooner - Oh well maybe next time!!!!
