hossfeld bender dies
Re: hossfeld bender dies
Its a little complicated- for square tubing, you need 3 dies, and they are different for different radius, and for different size tubing.
Hossfeld dies are sandcast from wooden patterns, and the square tubing dies have a little bit of taper cast in, so they grip the square tube tighter, the harder you pull.
But basically, the slots are the same size as the tubing you want to bend.
You should call or email Hossfeld and get them to send you a catalog of dies- I think they call it "parts price list for model No. 2". This is about a 30 page booklet that shows all the different dies, sizes they are available in, along with prices. Many of them you could machine yourself if you have a mill and lathe, once you see what they look like.
