The AFS is always a cautious about new technologies, but has finally recognized Additive Manufacturing as a process that looks to be around for awhile.
Many of us, as hobbyists, have been interested in 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing for decades.

My son, who is a professor at Centralia College in Centralia Washington teaches Robotics and mechatronics. He has started this for the local community. It includes 3D printing.
