hey all, new to the site and completely new to casting. i have no real clue [short of make mold, melt material and pour] as to what is involved in casting, am looking for a small shop/hobbiest to take on the casting of a small part in small runs. wondering if someone would be willing/eager for some side work/cash. ill email a pic with overall sizes to anyone interested. thanks. would need parts in aluminum as well as brass.

Welcome to the forum, 340frontporch.
There's a couple guys here that may respond to your inquiry. Be patient. We don't have a huge following on the foundry forum.

Hi there 340frontporch : New here myself.

Now, to give you another sort of answer to your question. If no one here can give you what you need, try researching what used to be called a 'Hobo Foundry'. They specialized in small runs and were generally known to be very reasonable on prices.

I hope this will lead you in the direction you need to go....good luck
