out of the blue Big Dave

Post by spro »

Big Dave. Bless his soul. He knew so many things and shared them with us . He is never put to rest in our minds. There are more grand mentors who fade away. I cry the loss of many but Dave predates and his posts live on. So abruptly he left us. Out of the blue, people roar back into our memory.
This wonderful site has been near thirty years. Many members have passed. What can I say about that? The deeper imprint?

It just IS.

Funny you should mention Big Dave. I was looking through some old email a week ago, and found one from him. We had corresponded with one another for years and had become close and trusted friends.

I must say, I miss him and his wit.

Did someone delete his log in and posts? I just searched for him and nothing found?

Our numbers (the old timers) are dwindling. Prior to Big Dave's departure, we lost hammermill as well.

I remember Big Dave, but missed his passing. I haven't posted here in quite a while but I do stop by and read every so often. Too many of my local friends and acquaintances have gone.

Good to hear from you, Victor. It's been a while.

True! Here, too. I was looking for the old folks recently, and discovered they are us. My perspective on the world has changed considerably. I used to be the young guy.

Isn't it like he is still with us. Bone solid advise about things which were and will remain.
