It may not achieve the desired goal, however, that being to flatten a surface. It would be interesting to know more.

It seems that the parallelism between the 2 machines would have to be perfect or it would be cutting a taper.

It seems like the part could still be blued, then the scraper programmed to hit the high spots, just like you would do by hand.
