While editing a previously posted post ...

Post by GeorgeGaskill » Wed Jun 18, 2003 7:30 pm

that was created with the "Make post" set to "using HTML and UBBCode", the html has been translated to UBB and the secondary pieces of html (such as *br* (greater than and less than omitted so they do not function here)) have been translated to plain text and do not work when reviewing the post before posting.

Is this an error or is the software supposed to work this way? Doesn't seem to be the right thing to do to me.

and it appears the answer is to not use UBBCode if you want to use html. I created a post with html only and then edited it and the html was still in the post instead of being translated to UBB.
