Something screwey happened to posts

Post by PennsyK4#612 » Mon Oct 10, 2005 3:32 pm

I just registered today. and as of yet have not posted any messages here. I was scrolling through one of the live steam list and several posts showed up with my UserID as the Author.

My join date is 10 October, and the posts were started prior to that....

Someone needs to look at this...

Honest I didn't do it

Some of the posts that have you listed as the author were from myself...?

My username/loging is no longer valid, and no past post that I have made are under my user name...??

This board uses your login name, not your display name for login and posting. Try using the password recovery tool on the login page. If that still does not work I will try to work something out.

Don, is the problem persisting? Have you left all the default settings?

Marty,

It would appear that somehow my new UserId got tagged to some posts that Jim Harrington made previously. When I looked today, his posts still show me as the author...

I had browsed at least one of his posts prior to registering, but not all of them, and I certainly was suprised to scan down the topic list and see my ID as the author for several posts...

If you look at the threads, you'll see that they were started prior to my registration date........... :?:

As far as I remember, I left the settings as default.

If needed to fix this up, you may delete my UserID and I'll re-register.

Just drop me an e-mail to let me know if you decide that my Id needs to be deleted.

It seems that I no longer exist...
Can't access any private email...
Can't log-in
Old posts are under PennsyK4#612 (at least some of them)

What should I do? :?:

Hmm, I have no idea why that would happen, maybe the software just bugged out. If it isnt a huge deal could you re-register and post under a new (or your old) name? If you would like I can try to re associate those posts to the new account.

I have re-registered with my old username/login. It appears that I am back. Is there any way to recover my old posts under my name, and private mail that I had?

Thanks,
Jim Harrington

I will attempt to get all the posts back, but I cannot get your PM's back. Sorry. :(
What names currently have your posts under them?
