I've been having a problem sending PM's. They just end up in the outbox and not getting sent.
Am I doing something wrong?

You are doing nothing wrong. When you send a message, it is stored in your outbox until it is opened by the recipient. At that time it is transferred to your sent box. That's how you know when the recipient has received the PM.
Some folks rarely check to see if they have any PM's. If you find you've sent one and it doesn't get opened, send an email to the individual requesting he check his PM's. If you don't have the email address, notify me and I'll send the email for you, assuming his email address is listed.
I do not disclose email addresses that are not made public by the owner.
