I have one of those magnifying lamp lenses that Ive been keeping arround for the longest time, So I tried it out the other day and just held it close to my cameras lense and blamo. zoomed in on the part just fine. as shown in this photo

which is blury and just plain ugly. I think those magnifying lamp things can be found rather cheap and hopefully an alternative to an expensive set for a specific camera.
