Hi Paul..thanks for the reply...not being the Golfer I wish I was..I let some more advanced people (ie: My Dad,Brother-in-Law,Nephew) try it out last time we all went for 18 holes...all of them really liked it..said it was well balanced and the weight was very good..I hadnt planned on using it all the time but it was one of those thing I thought was kinda neat to build...Thanks again for the reply.

It looks like the face is polished to a mirror. I know long ball club heads
have a groove texture on the faces. Don't putters need this also??

Grooves or no grooves

Lew:

Convention would have grooves on all the clubfaces, especially the high irons to promote backspin.

HOWEVER, there are smooth face drivers out there on the market. I used one during half of 06 and the 07 golf season. SMT is the manufacturer. I liked it once I figured out the tee height(high) for the 455 cc head.

I switched in 08 to Taylor Made Burner w/ grooves. The SMT was bright cherry red and was almost hypnotising me at address.

JC - nice work!! :P
