Yes.

A little locomotive with 4 wheels on the track is a lot more fun
than a 1/2 finished one with 16 wheels on the bench!

I'm currently looking for a Harley peashooter engine but I'm planning on using a Buell Blast single-cylinder guts and building a vintage outward appearance on it

Bring lots of zeroes if you want a genuine period HD engine. As for the Buell, I think there are a lot more realistic candidates for such a conversion. Even an older style Briggs would be a better choice; not a powerful choice, but a more "correct" style.ERIE S-1 BERKSHIRES wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 11:38 pm I'm currently looking for a Harley peashooter engine but I'm planning on using a Buell Blast single-cylinder guts and building a vintage outward appearance on it

Re: Board track single-cylinder
Not a board track racer but a bike in the spirit of those raced at the famous Brooklands circuit in the UK. I built myself a race bike to represent the sort of thing that was raced at Brooklands in the late 1920's, genuine Brooklands bikes are thin on the ground with astronomical prices to match! I used a Kawasaki crankshaft and it's gearbox internals as a basis, everything else is carved from billet on manual machines. Engine runs backwards and gearbox internals rotated 180° along the shaft axis' and run backwards, and yes the bike does go forward! Kawasaki clutch converted to dry operation etc etc. A lot of fun designing everything from scratch and it goes rather well too!

If you've got the BB guts, I think they'd be perfect for your project.ERIE S-1 BERKSHIRES wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 11:38 pm I'm currently looking for a Harley peashooter engine but I'm planning on using a Buell Blast single-cylinder guts and building a vintage outward appearance on it
