Centaur Engine

Post by pgp001 »

Has anybody on here built the Centaur 60cc horizontal open crank engine.
It was a deign by E.T. Westbury which featured in the UK magazine "Model Engineer" in 1957.

I would be interested to hear any good or bad experiences with this engine before I start making it.

Phil,
Mostly finished one, still need to make some changes on the governor linkage. Do you have all the castings? I had to fab the carburator and governor. Don't recall any big problems. Not sure the cooling system on mine is going to be adequate.
