Last year I purchased a Smithy 1220. I've been having a ball but still learning to tune it up. I am a long time woodworker specializing in Woodturning. I purchased the Smithy to both build parts and adaptors for the wood machines and to learn more about working with metal. I'm also learning blacksmithing and tool making while I'm at it.
Based on what I've turned so far I have a long way to go before making truely precision parts. Hopefully with the help of some of you I will get there eventually.
