READING CAMELBACK 0-4-0 CASTINGS FOR SALE
Hi All
I have sets of Reading camelback 0-4-0 castings available. I have eight sets. I am offering them to my Chaski friends first.
In about a week I will advertise them on the Discover Live Steam web site.
This is a proven design. Anyone who owns or built one could testify to that fact. The castings are either bronze or cast iron of good quality.
They will be supplied with a set of drawings and I will be available for questions by email or telephone. I have enough castings to build a running chassis. I will be making additional castings to complete the locomotive that will be available to the buyers of the kits.
I will offer a boiler as well. The price listed will include shipping in the lower US only. I'm not offering the casting set to foreign countries as it would be very costly to ship.
The price for the castings shown is $1800.00 including shipping in lower us.
I Will offer laser cut frames for an additional $200.00 /set including shipping.
Please PM me if you are interested.

Re: READING CAMELBACK 0-4-0 CASTINGS FOR SALE
I bought one of these from Dave back in the '80s. It runs like a scalded dog and will pull quite a load.
The price is very reasonable.
Thanks for bringing it back Dave!
I still want a spare set of crossheads and I need the sand dome for mine.

I the locomotive in the original posting a new build from these castings, or something from an earlier series?
This is a fantastic locomotive for experienced or novice hobbyists. Easy firing, tremendous pulling capacity. The asking price for these parts is very reasonable.

To All That are interested in this locomotive
I have two sets I will be building up to completion. I plan to have the cab sides laser cut and the remainder of the castings offered. The castings needed are the smoke box front, the stack, Blast nozzle, air tanks ends and brackets, tender end sills and the tender trucks. They will come in time providing I sell these sets.
I will offer the tender sides laser cut as well.

Re: READING CAMELBACK 0-4-0 CASTINGS FOR SALE
Hi All
The locomotive that Jack Bachmann built was built with Mercer castings. These castings where made from the original Elmer Nusky patterns.
I have since remade all new patterns and I still retain the rights to sell the castings thru Mercer Locomotive.
Just to make it clear. Some one sent me a set of pictures of the Bachmann locomotive that was auction off last year. I'm not sure where it went to.
