Set of 24 2.5" scale bronze coupler castings ****SOLD****

Post by Harlock »

This is set of 24 Dave Skagan 2.5" scale bronze coupler castings.

I will prioritize buyers of the complete set before parting out.

They are deburred / deflashed and ready for machining.

$960.00 for the lot.

I also have a machined pair I will post separately.

I can ship these at your expense, or deliver to LALS or SBLS this weekend, Oct 7-8.

This is part of a larger tool and part sale:

Hi Mike, Interested in your lot of 2.5" bronze couplers. Any idea how compatible these would be with the RMI couplers?

Thanks

The machined coupler set I had would not mesh with an RMI coupler, but should be fine with Artzburger couplers. The RMI couplers are kind of their own thing. 2.5" scale has an even bigger problem with coupler compatibility than 1.5" scale.

Has anyone used these type of couplers with Artzberger's?

A preliminary fit check shows that they should work with Artzburger couplers. (I have an artzburger coupler on my engine.) You should machine one and test it and adjust as necessary before machining the rest. Should be quite flexible to modify depending on your pin design and other adjustments to the fit. The fit is tighter than a skagan <-> skagan connection but otherwise workable in my opinion.

BClemens, I am trying to answer your PM, but I get the error, "Some users couldn’t be added as they have disabled private message receipt." you may wish to check your forum account settings.

Best,

I have had the same problem sending BClemens a PM, for some time. I tried to get the moderators to help, they tried with no luck.

Under user control panel, board preferences tab, then edit global settings sub-tab, and make sure "Allow users to send you private messages" is set to 'yes'.

If messages still fail to appear, it's possible his inbox is full.

I checked, the settings were incorrect.... they should be correct now for PM's. Sorry about that, not sure what happened because I had been receiving PM's in the past.
