1.5" 7.5"ga Jim Kreider NKP Berkshire ****SOLD****

Post by 765nkp »

For Sale: NKP Berkshire chassis on air with boiler and lots of extra parts. This is one of the first few built from Jim's castings. Boiler was retubed with 1/2"K wall copper. Originally had 1/2" steel which was roughly 3/8" ID. I wasn't happy with the way it fired, so I took it all apart to retube the boiler and never got it back together. It never had the correct tender, but I do have water jet cut tender parts that go with it, I just didn't get around to building it.
The engine has 2 working Nathan D7 lubricators, cold water pump from David Moore, all of the domes, and cab from Jim. The sand dome is finished with all the parts supplied from Jack Bodemann. Also, lots of plumbing parts included some SuperScale. The engine always pulled and tracked good. Strong puller as it was designed to be.
Comes with set of drawings from Jim Kreider.
Asking $42,500

I forgot to add that the boiler passed a hydro test after flues and flue sheets were replaced.
