1” Scale Consolidated Safety Valves

Post by AnthonyDuarte »

1" scale safety valves are almost done and will start shipping next week. I don't typically take orders before product is finished, but since safeties need to be set to order, I've decided to let customers place orders a week early.
I'm very happy with the final product, and I think you will be too!

To recap the specs:
- Safeties can be set from 80-150psi
- Blowdown/reset differential is adjustable with the blowdown ring
- 1/16” NPT, 1/8” NPT, M10x1 and M12x1 boiler adapters are stocked, and other sizes can be made to order for an additional $15.

Here’s a picture of a production safety valve. Injectors take longer to make but safeties are definitely more difficult. I think I may cut one in half...

Another section view would be cool. I got 80% of the way with a pair in 1.5" scale and it was indeed much more difficult than I thought it would be. Now that I have a good lathe with a collet closer I may try to finish them. Chucking or collet repeatability is highly desirable when making the main body. These are a shoe-in for the way you are able to make things with the CNC.
