Info needed for a motor for a MDM F7 truck

Anyone know the model number and manufacture AND rpm for the motor on a MDM F7 truck.

My motor has a broken winding wire.

Hi John,
Pull the truck and remove the motor (if you haven’t already done it), take to a shop and have it repaired.
Starter/generator/electrical motor shops can do it.

While it’s out maybe they can find out the info so you can buy a spare.

Being trying to find a shop to do it, so far none will do it.

Anyone suggest a replacement motor.

The motor I have is:
24Volt
Around 25Amp
4" diameter
5 1/4" long
5/8 inch shaft
mounting holes 3 3/8" apart

Nearly three years ago you posted here about your F7. Someone posted a link to the successor of MDM. Have you checked with them about a motor? They have probably upgraded the drivetrain. How many motors do you have? They all need to be the same. If a single replacement is different you'll have problems.
Check with Pike River Northern.

I’m not able to read the specs on the tag, but one can see the motor is identified with a model number, etc.
This would indicate the motor was produced for a product of some kind somewhere.
Others chiming in on this topic are correct. Either the single motor must be repaired, or all other motors must be replaced with identical units.

Re engineering an entire locomotive traction system because a broken wire cannot be repaired seems kind of…
Then again… I’m someone that would be guilty of such a thing.
Strive to fix/correct the motor if at all possible.

The amps and voltage suggests this is a 450 to 500 watt motor, depending on the efficiency of it.
