DRG&W 50

Post by wa6mdi »

Hi all,

Im in the process of aquiring a second loco loosely modeled after the DRG &W 50, two axle diesel switcher. My hope is to duplicate two items on this rig and I am not sure how to do it.
First does anyone make the vinyl (?) orange and black stripes that appear on the rear?

Second there is a raised outline on the prototype that covers the radiator and is maybe one inch diameter piping. Is there anyone manufacturing items like this for “Kit bashing” this 1.5 inch rig?

Thanks

Stripes or sheet vinyl is available at art supply stores, like Michaels and Hobby Lobby. The 1" piping, I assume is full scale, would be 1/8" diameter and that is available at welding supply, on-line metal suppliers, hobby shops or big box stores.
