Just a quick fyi, we carry the correct brake setup for the class B trucks. We have the cylinder casting, piston rod, push rod, pivot arm and brake shackles. There were all developed for our personal U33B locos. We sell just the castings but some have made it functional with Clippard cylinders similar to how MDM used to do it.

Excellent, thank you Paul. My brake cylinders are just solid dummies, and I am going to figure out a template so the end user can make the brake hangers out of sheet metal. I suppose a talented person could cut the front part off my cylinders, bore them out and make them work but that would be a lot of bother.

Re: Alco AAR class B trucks
Went over to a friend's house and borrowed a spare motor he had for a pic to show my mounting scheme. I made the bolster so a motor could be hung underneath it. Chain drive to both axles, etc. He took a few pics for me, and I finally figured out how to shuffle them around on my phone to share them.
I think that, at least with this type of motor, the integral brake on the end would have to be removed to give clearance for the drive sprocket and chain.

Re: Alco AAR class B trucks
Just a couple of videos showing a very similar set of trucks to my new AAR trucks, this was basically the first iteration of them. These were the set I cast for a friend's Alco he was building. Another friend finished the trucks up and got them running. These were the first test run.

A couple of videos I just made, I am going to finish this set up in the next month or so and hopefully all you real machinists can have a good laugh at my expense. I am also going to use this to improve my video skills, hopefully the last "reel" when I am done will show a marked improvement in quality.
