Amber warning beacon in ~1/8 scale?

Post by rkcarguy » Wed Jan 30, 2019 1:04 pm

It doesn't appear that anyone makes an amber warning beacon (typically placed atop diesel locomotive cabs) in ~1/8th scale?
I've been through countless pictures of well detailed locomotives and no beacon.

I found a 2012 post here that showed a member mounting a beacon on his switcher from "flashersrus". This vendors site is still up and has a nice selection of detail parts and a controller for the flasher but it doesn't look like they offer the beacon itself anymore.

They are shown in the catalog at Railroad Supply's website. Here is the link to the catalog itself:

Scroll down to Section 6, Detail Parts (page 64).

There are blank pages in the catalog so you might want to reach out to them for more information.
