How many and how accurate do you need? Might look at a radius tool and make your own then you could drill and tap as part of the process.

A mill and rotary table? I put 2" rounds on the ends of fishbats with that setup in a horizontal. Probably closer to 4" rounds, applied to 2" fishbats.

Hi There,

I know of one place that carry what you need
but their website doesn't give prices (they say
"Call for price"). You can contact them and see
how much they are. Link below:

Green Bay Mfg. - Steel Balls

Good Luck!

Check out the mining supply co's. Look for ballmill balls. They are used for the final milling of some types of ore, to reduce it to a powder.

Bad idea.
Ball mill balls are hard. 50-65 Rc.
Also, not exactly round, like a ball bearing.

Industrial Metal Supply (IMS) has hot stamped solid and hollow steel balls from about 1" up to 3 or 4" on their showroom floor. Not sure if they have exactly 1-1/4" and they were rough stamped/mill scaled, but soft and easy to turn.

McMaster seems to resist all Google searches but they have 1.25 bearing quality balls
they're hardened so you'd have to anneal them before working them.

Look at vbx bearings. They have loose balls up to 1.5

If you need them soft enough to drill, how about taking regular ball bearings and annealing them?

Someone smarter than me would be able to chime in with what kind of temperature you would need for that.
