At 45k rpm capability, it may be a bit tricky to adapt a new spindle to it and keep it concentric.

I had planned on putting a collet in the spindle bore of the lathe , precision ground rod from the lathe to the new collet assembly .
The shaft is ground just after the new head , that is where I would use a steady rest with roller fingers .
Then light cuts , take my time .

It turns out the speed control didn't work , seller caught it before shipping . Glad I asked .
Bought a different one today .

Yah , tomorrow's my birthday so that how I justify it to the boss .
She gives me the same look , but lets it go ...lol
