OEM specs? This is concerning older attachments, in general, which may have a roll pin (which I hate for the very reasons described) or an old carriage bolt of no shoulder. I don't even consider a non- shouldered bolt. I use a full shouldered bolt all the way to the nut. Threads instead of solid diameter causes goring and messy failure.
There is still an essential break- away limit which I can achieve now. Some of these things have occurred to us before but dialogue confirms the merit of them.
