This video is really impressive. Every so often, really cool, steam information drops into the General Discussion. This is a Super engine of immense power. Every part is work and the men who revived and maintained it, are deserving of salutes. !
The thing is; I could have said better 5 hours ago. A friend called and I deleted/ logged out. I mentioned the Bigboy 4014 and he was in tune with that. He mentioned the frame was articulated to comply with the relatively tighter track bends.

Amazing to see #4014 running. I never thought I'd see one of the 8 surviving Big Boys in steam!
Steam Heaven!!!

Also this year the smallest surviving Baldwin Mallet (compound-articulated) locomotive steamed again after a 15 year resurrection.
The 2-4-4-2 Skookum!
Restored in Garibaldi, on the Oregon Tillamook coast, it will soon be moved to the California Niles Canyon RR Museum.

What a year for steam!
