Just learned the sad news that the founder and great vendor Bill Chernoff passed away 3 weeks ago
Bill was always close to our hobby and had DRO"S for home shop guys back in the 1990's and
would attend Cabin Fever and NAMES shows with his Shooting Star booth.
Even the name of his business expressed his view of brighter things to come
One of the friendliest guys you could ever meet and a big supporter of the home shop
RIP Bill..
Rich

Re: RIP. Bill Chernoff- Shooting Star DRO
Rich,
A "great vendor" is correct.
I bought and installed one of his DRO's on my lathe. It "died' about 8 years later. My multi-meter showed that the little "wall brick" (transformer) was the problem, so I called Bill to ask about buying another.
"Nonsense" he said. "Send me the "brick" and the display unit too. There might be some unknown defect"... or words to that effect.
So off they went in the mail to Canada, and shortly thereafter a NEW display and brick arrived. NO CHARGE.
Great Guy.

Re: RIP. Bill Chernoff- Shooting Star DRO
For a CBX-3d DRO, Does anyone know what the power supply should be? volts, AC or DC
I lost my power supply in a move to new shop. I can only look for it for so long! thanks
