Re: Anvil.
I've heard it said that anvils typically run between $1 and $4 per pound depending on location, condition, brand, and style. So, maybe, depending. That's a big fellow, but you're getting close to the range of new anvils from blacksmith supplies, so it would have to be pretty premium to be any kind of deal for me at that price. A few years ago I picked up a 100 lb Vulcan in good shape for less than $100, which was a very good deal, though Vulcan isn't a premium brand.

Re: Anvil.
The owner is a Blacksmith with workshop full of anvils.
He has an Anvil from Napoleon's army which was carted with the invading forces to reshoe the horses.
His favourite anvil which he uses everyday, rescued from a ships ballast hold.

Re: Anvil.
My blacksmith buddies agree with the $1-4 range, leaning toward the lower.
Unfortunately, I'm told that many old anvils were sacrificed in the WW II scrap drives.
