Hi There,

My Clausing 5914 came with an Aloris AXA tool post and
the previous owners had put a 1/2" Aluminum spacer plate
under it. I sold it and installed a BXA tool post instead.
I think it is a better fit for the Clausing. The AXA should
be just right on the Heavy Ten.

Yeah Webb that is what I did also,agree a BXA would be a better fit. But,like I said the plan is for the AXA to most likely end up on the SB Heavy Ten where the BXA would be too big.

I have two lathes in my shop, one of each dia & rad. I ended up putting a sign on each reminding me which is which. I also noted which slide it is because at times I would forget if it was the cross slide or compound. Both of my lathes are Sheldon's so it is easy to confuse me.
