Colchester Chipmaster-Question

Whats the best way to set up A Chipmaster?
Just sit it down on the floor? Or are there newer replacement for the mounting pads that came with the lathe when new?

My Chipmaster sits on Vlier leveling pads. They are standard issue and not too costly from McMaster-Carr. The stud is 1/2” x 4.
