Parting success

Post by AllenH59 »

I was doing some 316 ss a while ago, and ground about 15 degrees of rake into a cut off blade, I use the T shaped blades in my 200 series QCTP holder. I ground it with a dremmel, using a diamond point bit in it. It is marvelous, in all the materials I have tried. It cut long ribbons in the stainless steel with no chatter, and cuts mild steel with out chatter also.. I have made many cuts without sharpening it. Parting had been a weak part of my game.
