High frequency vibration on Y axis
Re: High frequency vibration on Y axis
I'm glad you worked it out. Just a piece in the puzzle.
Re: High frequency vibration on Y axis
Amplitude and frequencies' modulation / demodulation were the ways which allowed us to reach another level.
Re: High frequency vibration on Y axis
Mod and demod is way old but..I knew the pages. Carrier beat frequency to individual sections. Every frequency Was already special in it's way. More than that, each was a certain place.

Very interesting Spro

Re: High frequency vibration on Y axis
This might sound funny but I fixed it using some industrial sized heavy rubber bands. I put three on the leadscrew at the very end to act as a dampener. It seems to work like a charm, I can't get it to resonate any more no matter what I do. I'm sure something else would work too but this is what I hand on hand.

Not funny at all. Works for boring bars on the lathe too. Oil may attack the rubber, though. Best to use neoprene.

Thanks John,
I have some neoprene that I can cut into rings.
