I present this question only for posterity's sake or information gathering.
35v years ago or so I remember seeing in a Thomas skinner catalog:
A type of mill drill branded First.
It had a Bridgeport style head and a round column 5 or 6 inches dia.
No ram or knee. Basically a mill drill w/larger base/table and column.
with a bridgeport head that could tilt side/side and possibly nod.
What I'd like to know is what that type of mill is called and were
there other Brands that made them?
Mill TYPE ??
Discussion on all milling machines vertical & horizontal, including but not limited to Bridgeports, Hardinge, South Bend, Clausing, Van Norman, including imports.
