Halsey's Handbook for Machine Designers, Shop Men, and Draftsmen.

A great reference if you need to replicate an old part. Has common/standard dimensions for tools, handles, machine parts, and lots of basic engineering details. Dates from about 1916, but there are occasionally copies on ebay and so forth. Almost 600 pages of good information.

The one I have is my grandfathers. Amazing how much stuff in it is still valid today.

If you carefully examine the inside title page you will see it says Halsey was the author of "The Metric Fallacy." I snickered when I read that. :D A cursory search turned up a source for his piece. Pretty amazing a title authored over a century ago and targeted to a rather specialized audience is still available in print.
