the left pumped is not so far fabricated as the right one.
Left side still has to be milled, so that the part can be clamped better, there is still some material on top of it.
On the left I simply put the lanterns together incorrectly for the picture. As is say...left side is a few work steps behind the right one.
You have probably also noticed that the central area between the lanterns has already been closed with a sheet metal on the right pump.

New word in use for me: "lanterns." I assume those are the middle pieces between the top and bottom cylinders.
Understandable description. Language translations can be fun.

Hi Guys
I would like to share some news about our J 611 with you. After almost all work on the locomotive had been completed, we could concentrate on the tender bogies. With the help of a jig we milled a lot of material out of the cast parts. Here we had to think of the sheet metal construction of our Y6b trucks, that would probably have been the cheaper and safer way. Because the castings have some inaccuracies, but we got them right. Here I would like to thank Asteamhead again for giving me the castings and some other help with the construction of the J.
Almost at the same time as the successful stoker screw repair of the original J 611, we were able to heat our model in the garden for the first time.
It was such a great moment to throw the first coal on the grate after almost 8 years of construction. The boiler is very powerful and produces tons of steam, almost too much for. With hard driving you can hardly get the steam away, so we need valves that can blow off more steam.
All in all, the campaign was a success, except for a few small things, such as a leaky whistle and a feedwater pump that went on strike at first, everything worked wonderfully after some repairs and J did a great job.
When loading it into the garden, we also weighed it and the desired weight of 280kg was reached, so that there is enough friction weight for the power. When we braked the chassis during operation, you could hear the exhaust, which sounds really great. Here are a few pictures, a video of the first heat up and the first run on tracks, which is planed for the next week, will follow ...

This locomotive is really the most to say the least! It even has a functioning stoker! The stoker is a major project on its own. I wish I could see it in person, most excellent!

thanks for your words. No i will not fire it by a stoker.
And...now is not the time to think about new project's...there is a lot of work to do, to finish 611 will take another year..mayby more. After 611 i will make my dream come true to restore my Dad's first Locomotive that he builds 40 years ago...a nice Decapot .
And then.......there are 8 Locomotives to take care of.
