You might try certified organic tart cherry extract, 2 tbsp / night before bed.

A friend swears it keeps her gout under control.

All the best for a speedy recovery.

I harvested lots of fresh cherries this summer, compliments of our neighbor's orchard. Got 'm pitted and frozen. I periodically thaw a bag full, and enjoy cherries most every morning. My big toes remains happy. As do my taste buds...

Been dealing with gout for over 40 years and have found the tart cherry concentrate tablets to be a great help with the inflammation. What works even better is to also take Krill Oil tablets twice a day. Combined with the tart cherry, the combination can really help one to feel more like a human. Takes two or three days to kick in but after that, life is so much nicer.
