I have a book that is quite extensive for pattern making called "Practical Wood Pattern Making" by J. Robert Hall. (ISBN 1-55918-109-5) Lots of illustrations and written in a matter-of-fact manor. Soft cover and 188 pages. About $20.
This book is published by Lindsay Publications Inc. Many people in the hobby are familiar with these publications.
