Harold has surpassed 17,000 Posts

Post by Atkinson_Railroad »

I just happened notice Harold is now into the 17,000's.

And to think that among all those posts, his clarity, wisdom and just plain "fairness"
has been the backbone of this board for a very high percentage.

If it's worth congratulating, I'll toss out a reminder for him, "Thank You!"

Absolutely!

I find myself being drawn to anything Harold posts because I can know that it will be from a knowledgeable source and well explained. I do not think I have 17,000 total thoughts about anything.... :)

Harold is the board's airbag. When the rest of us are guessing, he often steps in and gives us the facts.

Ditto. I appreciate that he and the other mods keep this a clean, on-topic board with no flame wars.

Thanks, guys, but don't lose sight of the fact that one of the reasons this board runs so smoothly is due to the readers. We have gathered an array of individuals who are here for the right reasons, so there's not really much for a moderator to do. For that, I thank all of you, and I'm sure I speak for everyone involved in the operation of this fine venue. It has been home to me for more than 16 years now.

Thanks, Chris. I appreciate the kind thoughts, but I'm all the happier that we are able to serve our friends in Germany. A very welcome addition to the "family".

Harold is the King!

In anther group I participate in, he would be called the 'List Mom' -- he maintains order and keeps us all in line. Get out of line, and he's likely to (gently...) slap your hand.

He's also a tremendous repository of information on machining -- read his posts and you're pretty much guaranteed to learn something.
