I am curious are you sure the boiler is steel? (Which rusts) The reason I ask is I have seen other Bassett-Lowke George the Vth locomotives and they all had copper boilers.

Marty,
You may remember Pierre “Pete” Maurer at the NJLS many years ago. Pete at different times owned a Geo. the 5th and a Royal Scot.....both built by Bassett-Locke in the 1930’s. Both had copper boilers.
