A5a Camelback numbers - Please post yours.

Post by PRR5406 »

This is a bit of a foamer type question. My friend is getting anew boiler for his A5a Reading Camelback, and wants to put an accurate number on the cab. If you own or operate one of these locomotives, would you please list the prototype's number in this thread? The idea being to collect those numbers already being used and not duplicate future models. Consider posting a picture as well?

Mine is Reading 1179.

The Nuskey drawings say "Nos. 1147-84".
I have a No. 1173 built by Leo Meyers.

Nuskey and friends built 1171-1174. Ed Faller, Glen Kremers, Bobbie Ritenburg and Dave Bortz are the current owners....so there are two 1173. By the way I talked with Pete Nuskey today. He's coming to the 50th FLLS reunion....unfortunately he doesn't have an 0-4-0. Bobbie Ritenburg is coming also, but sadly he has no pump for his. Ed Faller hasn't responded to my calls or emails but his was last known to be under reconstruction.

Tad Culp's gas powered 0-4-0 is still running, but he can't make the FLLS meet. I'll get him next time!
