it's a 50 year old boiler that decided to spring a few leaks that were not repairable...and I cut it apart to see what was inside....
Too many things going on to bother listing them.

Oops, sorry I mistook your signature line as the final comment on the condition of that boiler.

50 years is a long service life but the inside of that boiler is a little scary. Geez, the next time I steam up I'm going to feel like Slim Pickens in Dr. Strangelove:)

actually the inside of the boiler is in very good condition.
The only reason the boiler failed was because the lead solder caulk used to fix a few 'leaks' when it was built...finally deteriorated and was not repairable.
