H.J. Coventry "Little Kathy" Vertical Engine castings

Post by JohnK »

Group,

Friends Models in Beverly, MA has just acquired from Tiny Power, the design and patterns for the 1920s-era H.J. Coventry vertical stationary engine that was known at Tiny Power as "Little Kathy".

The engine was featured in an article by Mr. Coventry in The Modelmaker magazine in 1926, and was available from Mr. Coventry in the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. Sometime in the 1970s, it was acquired by Tiny Power. It was also featured in an article in Live Steam magazine in 2000.

Details, and an excellent video of a Little Kathy that was built by David Brush, may be seen on:

Thank you for looking.

Thanks, John!

The castings as available from FRIENDS include a copy of the original 1920s blueprints, an updated set of CAD blueprints, and a copy of the 1926 articles from THE MODELMAKER magazine. All are in stock.

Thank you,

Four sets of drawings, we can see if they all agree on any given dimension!

Not necessary that they agree on any dimension.

Important is that they assemble into a running locomotive
Too many things going on to bother listing them.
