ASR Legends of Steam with Doyle McCormack - RESCHEDULED

Post by Rob Gardner »

Join American Steam Railroad for the second edition of our popular "Legends of Steam" speaker series on Saturday, September 18, 2021 with Doyle McCormack. The event will take place at the Mad River & NKP Museum in Bellevue, Ohio. McCormack will give a presentation about his experiences with steam locomotive restorations, growing up along the Nickel Plate Road and how he's bringing back a classic streamlined diesel locomotive!
Doors open at 3:00 p.m. and guests are welcome to explore the museum grounds, where they can inspect the newly acquired Nickel Plate Road 757 Berkshire steam locomotive. Caboose rides will also be given from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a catered dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. The presentation by Mr. McCormack will begin right after the dinner with an audience Q&A concluding the evening.

Tickets for the event are $105.00 per person and will help with the restoration efforts of Reading 2100 and other American Steam Railroad projects. The first 10 buyers who use the code "NKP757" will receive $10 off their ticket price. Ticket sales will end on Friday, September 3, 2021 at midnight.
Please print ticket(s) to present at the entrance of the event.
Guests are asked to please wear closed-toe shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Those with disabilities are welcome to attend but should know that due to the historic nature of the equipment, there are some areas of the museum which are not ADA-accessible.

Sincerely,

Rob Gardner
ASR President and 2100 Project Manager
